How long have you been a realtor?

I joined The Edwards Team in September of 2009.

I started out as the team’s administrative assistant, learning the business from the ground up and obtained my license in 2010.

Since then, I’ve been working alongside my father, Jim Edwards, who has been in the industry since the 1980’s.

He’s a great teacher and a wealth of information when it comes to the Columbus market. We make a great team!

Which central Ohio neighborhoods are your focus?

While the majority of our business comes from Upper Arlington, Grandview, Worthington, Dublin, and Hilliard, we’re the third and fourth generations to be born and raised in Columbus, Ohio and it’s safe to say that our expertise isn’t limited to just one area. This city’s neighborhoods are all so unique and we make it our business to stay on the pulse of Columbus’ many communities so that we are the ultimate resource of our clients.

What advice do you have for people trying to buy or sell a home in today’s market?

Consult a full time Realtor! Buying a home is the single biggest investment the majority of people will ever make. Going the cheaper route or trying to go it alone usually ends up costing more time, money and frustration in the end. The old adage “you get what you pay for” rings true here. Your Realtor is your advocate. Let them do the work, so that buying or selling your home is an easy and enjoyable experience.

Do you have any tips on how to stage homes for sale?

Less is more. What do you want to see, smell and experience when you walk in the door of a high end hotel or quaint bed and breakfast? That is how you should stage your home for potential buyers. Always opt for a clean and clutter-free look and try not to obstruct walk-ways or high traffic areas. Your Realtor can always give you tips on the best way to do this.
